17 Things No One Tells You About Living In Rural Australia

    It's not that bad.

    1. Not everyone lives on a farm.

    2. Our houses don't actually look like this.

    3. And not all of us know how to ride horses.

    4. The countryside is actually very pretty.

    5. Being able to drive and not get frustrated by ridiculous traffic is a great feeling.

    6. Though it is true that this will happen from time to time.

    7. We don't all grow our own produce.

    8. Or know how to shoot guns.

    9. Yes, we do have more than 50 people at our school.

    10. And our house parties as teens were actually the best.

    11. Many underage teens who have their license occupy themselves on weekends by "lapping the main."

    12. While we may know a lot of people in our town, we don't necessarily know everyone.

    13. But regardless of what people think, we do have enough activities to occupy our time.

    14. The outdoors is as serene as you would imagine it to be.

    15. The sunsets are absolutely phenomenal.

    16. And you do realise you take it for granted if you move to the city.

    17. But when you go back, it's like things have never changed.
