For Every ‘90s Kid Who Was Obsessed With Savage Garden

You knew you loved them before you met them.

There's no denying it. Australian duo Savage Garden were one of the most iconic bands of the '90s.

If you weren't a fan of them, then no offence, but sorry about your childhood.

For one, Darren Hayes had a magical voice and Daniel Jones was a ridiculously talented multi-instrumentalist.

They were definitely NOT one-hit wonders. In fact, they have a plethora of incredible songs that are still amazing to this very day.

Let's take it from the top. "I Want You" had one of the greatest verses in history...

Even if you always forgot the second verse.

"To the Moon and Back" was a crazy successful follow-up, becoming the band's first Australian No. 1.

It also sounded DAMN flawless when performed acoustically.

Oh and "Truly Madly Deeply"? Still ICONIC to this very goddamn day.

And "Break Me, Shake Me" was a sultry, savage banger.

It's not like the band just stopped with one stellar album either...

In 1999 Savage Garden released their second album, with the first single "The Animal Song" showing a playful, softer side.

And deep down you know "I Knew I Loved You" made you believe in love.

AND MOST IMPORTANT! The song "Affirmation" was years ahead of the game, in terms of lyrical content and overall acceptance.

Even to this day, their music is still great to listen back to.

    Or have car sing-a-longs to.

If only we could dream a reunion tour into life...
