10 Things Awesome About San Francisco

Sure some things are banned like toxic plastics in kids toys and sodas that are the equivalent of battery acid for your kidney, but really you can't argue much with this city.

• 1. The California Academy of Sciences

  

  Live penguins? An albino alligator? A real life Amazon rainforest ecosystem? The trellis is made up of solar panels? Anyone who's visited San Francisco and even locals agree, this place is the shit!

• 2. SF Food Carts

  

  The food is so amazing in general, but in truck form? Trawesome. There's even a friggin' festival every summer devoted to them!

• 3. The Parrots of Telegraph Hill

  

  Does this really need a caption?

• 4. Lombard Street

  

  Street be crazy windin' n shit!

• 5. Trannies

  

  There's aren't your average joe trannies making a debut at your local Karaoke bar. SF Trannies have perfected the blank stare and poop jokes down to an art form. And who can argue with Heklina's Hair?!?!

• 6. Trollies

  

  Especially the one on California Street. I used it to get to work every day during the summer. And it has an amazing view of the city at the top of the hill.

• 7. The Golden Gate Bridge

  

  Sure there are suspension bridges everywhere, but this one's survived a couple of major earthquakes. AND it one of the few places where you will experience two completely different climates in the matter of 5 minutes.

  'nuff said.
