A Community Battles EU To Stop "Ban" On Electronic Cigarettes

There are an estimated 10 million "vapers" around the world. The electronic cigarette community is fighting against government control which might mean that electronic cigarettes are more tightly regulated than tobacco based cigarettes.

They even protested on the steps of the EU parliament!

Hundreds of electronic cigarette users protested in Brussels against plans to make electronic cigarettes medical devices. E-cig users and many harm reduction experts think that this would limit their availability and hand the growing industry straight to pharmaceutical and tobacco companies who can afford to comply. Many users claim that if they couldn't get their e-cig of choice they would turn back to burning tobacco.
