Please tell me you're intelligent enough to know that IQ's are relative to age; in other words, there's nothing more unusual about a 2-year-old with a 156 IQ than a 40-year-old with an IQ of 156.

You all need to stop hating!!! Don't be jealous that this little 2yr old girl got a news segment and your's didn't. Maybe you guys can call Mensa up, have your kids tested to see if they are just as smart (or smarter) and then maybe you'll get a little coverage too!!! You know, it does take immense brain power to memorize all that stuff she knows and even greater brain power to answer in an instant. It would take most of us to think about it for a couple of minutes or google it!!! So get over it!

I hereby challenge Elise to a game of wits! I will DESTROY her. She may think she is smart but let's see how she does when she goes head-to-head with me in math, science, history, logic, philosophy, rhetoric, or any subject you can imagine. It will not be pretty.

While the kid is impressive, this is not uncommon. My kid is 20 months and she counts to ten. She can also ask for her favorite music by name (Abba, Coldplay, Enya, Bob Marley) and identify it when she hears it. (And not just particular songs. Play anything by Enya and she says, “Enya!”) So while this girl is smart, I don't know what the big deal is. I mean, yeah, I brag about my daughter to anyone who will listen, but should she be an internet sensation? Not really. Let's wait until she does something with her big brain. :)

How 'bout if you clowns on here spend some time bitching about high school “football stars” who are allowed to believe that their small-pond athletic success is somehow miraculous and worthy of a bunch of folks standing up to scream and cheer them on? Or child beauty pageant queens made up like cheap whores so that haggard old women can squeal about how “cute” the girls are? I don't hear anyone trying to tear those faux-heroes down—or their parents for pushing them too hard to succeed at something that ultimately won't matter. If you're whining and complaining about this little girl then you should A) pull the stick out of your ass and let the little girl have her moment in the sun, and B) learn how to rank priorities so that you can appreciate the difference between the useful and the utterly pointless.

got to say that who care if some little girl can count or spell wow isn't that what we want our kids to do.

I thought, so what. I never thought of my little girl who is 2 and a half as being some kind of genius but she can count to 20 in spanish( thats as far as we taught her) 100 in english. can read ( a little). knows her states not capitals yet. She has memorized all of her books so it looks like shes really reading. She(my daughter) is no smarter than any other average toddler, she only knows this stuff because for some reason I've taught her. I dont think its important that my daughter knows this stuff, especially at 2, but kinda neat. I don't show people, hey look what my little girl knows nor have I ever told her doctor because, so what!!

we should all be inspired instead of hating on this little girl and her parents. A normal child's learning potential is immeasurable. Meaning most any child is capable of learning unlimited things provided the enivironment and the teacher. Some parents are more focused on learning than fun. Some parents make learning fun. Some parents leave books and general education for teaches, and toys, t.v and play for home activities. Regardless of what most kids learn or don't learn they grow up to be beautiful gifts to society inside and out.

oh yeah and ours is an actual little kid who wants to play outside, ride his bike, and be a normal 2 yr old!

We have a 2 yr old who can identify planets, spell his name, identify all the letters of the alphbet and numbers up to 30, can say antidisestablimentarianism and other big words, knows his address, his phone number, and can identify at least 20 people working at our local walmart where we go almost every day to see his aunt

Is she memorizing all of these things or can she read them herself and discover these things on her own. There are tons of kids out there that can read at age 2 and I'm sure can do all the things she's doing. None of those things are impressive..time for the parents to up the pressure.
