7 Bizzare Products Endorsed By NFL Players

A wide receiver in a sports drink commercial makes perfect sense. But some famous NFL players stepped outside the endorsement box to promote products that probably should have been intercepted by their PR managers.

2. One Wipe Charlies

The only think offensive about linemen Travis Frederick of the Cowboys, John Sullivan of the Vikings, Eric Wood of the Bills and Nick Hardwick of the Chargers is their agreement to help with product placement that doesn't leave much to the imagination. I guess they were tired of quarterbacks hogging all the endorsement deals when they agreed to promote these flushable toilet wipes.

3. Uggs

Some woman somewhere (or every woman everywhere) had her dream come true with this ad that combined Tom Brady and Uggs.

4. Chunky Soup

Come on, Clay Matthews. Depends and Chunky Soup? Well, at least the products complement each other well. Allegedly, there's a rumored "Chunky Soup Curse" in the NFL, destroying the careers of anyone who endorses the product. But, to be fair, I think everyone who eats soup referred to as "chunky" is going to be cursed in some way or another.

5. Gummy Bears

Joe Flacco likely made this endorsement decision because these bears can't intercept him.

6. Motor Oil

I bet Castrol was pretty excited to score RG III for this endorsement deal. What did they use for a campaign slogan? Probably something along the lines of "Castrol motor oil. For when you want your car to perform really well for a little while, then break down and need significant repairs."

7. Van Heusen

It's just a bit hard to believe that Matt Stafford, who pulled in $4 million dollars in 2013, wears a shirt brand sold at JCPenney. Seems like this ad is lion to me.
