Top 7 Reasons You Need Stephanie Hiquiana

So many intern applications, so little time. Here are the top 7 reasons Stephanie Hiquiana would be an asset to the Veterans United summer internship program in the writing/social media area of marketing.

She's always up for adventure and trying new things, no matter how scary. Zip lining from over 250 feet above ground? No problem. Initiate a new social media campaign for VU? Piece of cake.

She comes prepared for every challenge. Scraping ice off your car in negative degree weather may seem like an impossible task to some, but Stephanie will find a way to persevere and get the job done.

She has helped build a house. SIX TIMES! From Habitat for Humanity to building homes in Harmons, Jamaica through Won by One To Jamaica, Stephanie has assisted in the completion of six different homes. Laying down foundation, putting up walls and handing someone their first set of keys has taught Stephanie the value of seeing a project through from start to finish.

The key to success is team work. Stephanie knows that a lot times, it takes more than one person to succeed. Working together to get the task done is a necessary feat in may jobs and Stephanie is a team member you will want to have.

She has a plethora of marketing knowledge from classes and her business marketing fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon. Through Pi Sigma Epsilon, she has participated in financial case studies, worked on the Public Relations committee, and served as the New Member Public Relations representative.

She learned first hand that "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" when she auditioned for a lead role as a tap-dancer in a musical. Stephanie had never been the most graceful person and didn't know the first thing about tap dancing, but she set her mind on learning how to dance and worked hard at it every day. After a month of practicing, she nailed her audition and became one of ten lead tap dancers in the show by beating out some pretty steep competition. (See it here!)

She has never hit a wall she couldn't overcome. Every great journey is filled with road blocks, but Stephanie has always been persistent and creative in her methods to success.
