I’m confused. Isn’t this the style of stuff that’s sold at Hot Topic and generally reviled by mainstream fashion as “emo” or “scene”? Or am I just completely out of the pop culture loop?

People are overreacting. This doll is not for children, not aimed at children, it’s a collector’s item, and I’m not sure how many conservative moms are willing to spend $50 for a Barbie doll for their child. It fits perfectly with Simone Legno’s aesthetic, just don’t tell parents that Barbie’s pet is named Bastardino!

This is just dumb… Not the Barbie, that’s ADORABLE, but the fact that parents are angry about this is retarded. Look, first of all it’s TokiDoki style, which is a brand of vinyl toys made for ADULTS. They’re toys for big kids. Second it’s obviously a collectible, thus not for children to play with at all. There are other Barbies out there that would likely offend ME as a parent and they are REAL. I mean have you SEEN how short Barbie’s skirts are these days?? Seriously…

I’m a huge fan of tokidoki and Simone Legno, but I am not a fan of this Barbie doll. While it sticks true to the tokidoki brand, it just looks so trashy.
