Obama Responds To 10-Year-Old’s Letter About Her Gay Dads
“They are lucky to have such an exceptional daughter in you,” the president wrote to Sophia in response to her note, which went viral last week.
Sophia penned a thoughtful letter to the president, in which she discussed her support of Obama but also being bullied for having two gay dads:
I am so glad that you agree two men can love each other because I have two dads and they love each other, but at school kids think that it’s gross and weird, but it really hurts my heart and feelings…

Guess he didn’t GIVE a SHIT at ALL until his bumbling VP forced his political hand. Fucking douchebag. Good luck getting it passed ever again. Fucking loser.

WhatTheHolyHeck 6 months agoSo you arrived at all your opinions completely formed and haven’t changed them over time? Wow, you’re an amazing and singular human being. The guy came into the issue taking the church’s line, and over time managed to free himself from that stricture and evolve. Give the guy some credit for overcoming the indoctrination of his Christian youth. It took him longer than I would have liked, but he made the journey. You’d probably want to celebrate that evolution rather than just insulting the guy. Stop pretending you’re some super-evolved ubermencsh who is more liberal than the president; your posting history clearly shows your views as hard-line conservative.

Omg no that’s not what I’m saying at all! Sorry if it came out that way! I was just saying that the letter doesn’t look like it came from the President’s desk, that’s all. Doesn’t all of the President’s stationary have the Presidential seal on it? No matter who the letter is from, though, its a really really sweet gesture and, if the President hasn’t responded yet, I hope he does!
