15 U.S. Roller Coasters Opening In 2015 Ranked By "NOPE"

My motion sickness is getting motion sickness.

    15. Rewind Racers

    14. Looping Star

    13. Hurricane

    12. Laff Track

    Location: Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Scariest Part: This will be the U.S.'s first indoor, spinning glow-coaster, and is set up to resemble a fun house. (And by "fun house," I mean crap-your-pants-this-is-freaky house.)

Nope Ranking: CRYING IN THE DARK WITH HEAVY SOBS OF NOPE.

    11. Switchback

Location: ZDT'S Amusement Park in Seguin, Texas.

Scariest Part: This will be the only wooden shuttle coaster in the world. The cars go forward, and then do the entire thing in reverse. That's twice the horror. (Similar to Rewind Racers, but even more intense.)

Nope Ranking: NOTHING TO SEE HERE. NOPE NOPE NOPE.

    10. Wicked Cyclone

Location: Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts.

Scariest Part: The world's first 200-degree stall with a 10-story drop. It'll be set up like Six Flags Magic Mountain's Twisted Colossus, except it has only one car running at a time.

Nope Ranking: I HEAR THE CRIES OF CHILDREN SCREAMING NOPE.

    9. Impulse

    8. Rougarou

Location: Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

Scariest Part: Passengers' feet will dangle freely as they plunge down a 137-foot drop. There will be four inversions and plenty of twists and turns. Nah, bro. Nahhhh.

    Nope Ranking: IT'S A NOPE-A-PALOOZA.

    7. Bourbon Street Fireball

    6. El Diablo

Location: Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari in Jackson, New Jersey.

Scariest Part: It'll be similar to Six Flags America's Bourbon Street Fireball. Basically, you're gonna go upside down a hell of a lot, forward and backward.

    Nope Ranking: ¡AY, CARAMBA, NOPE!

    5. Cannibal

    Location: Lagoon in Farmington, Utah.

Scariest Part: It'll be over 200 feet tall, and will go through an underground tunnel. Plus, there will be a fair amount of twists and turns all along the way. Just looking at it makes my stomach drop.

    Nope Ranking: HERE'S A NOPE, THERE'S A NOPE, EVERYWHERE A NOPE NOPE.

    4. Thunderbird

Location: Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.

Scariest Part: This will be the the U.S.'s first launched wing coaster, meaning passengers won't wait for the cars to climb up a hill. The cars will catapult forward from the very beginning. Terror from 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

Nope Ranking: TO THE NOPEEEEEEEEEEE, TO THE WALL.

    3. Twisted Colossus

Location: Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles.

Scariest Part: The ride will employ something called "top gun stall," which means cars slow down as they're going upside down. It'll cover nearly 5,000 feet of track, lasting a total of four minutes, making it the world's longest hybrid roller coaster. Oh, and two separate cars will run on side-by-side tracks simultaneously. That's not unnerving at all...

Nope Ranking: HELLLLLLLLLLL TO THE NOPE AND BACK. FOREVER.

    2. Batman: The Ride

Location: Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.

Scariest Part: The individual cars will spin while you're doing beyond-90-degree drops. So it'll basically be a double whammy. The ride also claims to be the first 4D free-fly coaster, so do with that what you will.

Nope Ranking: GOTHAM NEEDED A HERO, AND HE SAID NOPE, NOPE, SHIT, NOPE.

    1. Fury 325

Location: Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Scariest Part: It's 325 feet tall (obviously) and lasts a total of 3 minutes and 25 seconds. It'll be the world's tallest and fastest "giga" coaster — and it dives underground at one point. Godspeed.

    Nope Ranking: FUCK NOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Special H/T to Fox News and RCDB for bringing these amazing (terrifying) roller coasters to our attention.
