Chelsea FC's Eden Hazard Red Carded For Kicking BallBoy

CHELSEA winger Eden Hazard has been sent off and faces possible police action for kicking a young ballboy in an English League Cup semi-final. Hazard became annoyed with the boy, who failed to return the ball promptly after it went out of play for a Swansea goal kick with 10 minutes left. Hazard appeared to kick the boy as he tried to retrieve the ball from underneath him and after a delay of several minutes, the Belgian was shown a straight red card by referee Chris Foy. Police said they would investigate and hinted Hazard could face charges. "South Wales is aware of the incident involving a ball boy at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea tonight (Wednesday)," said Chief Superintendent Josh Jones, of South Wales Police. "We are making arrangements for him (Hazard) to be interviewed. South Wales Police takes such matters very seriously." "(Chelsea striker) Demba Ba told me that the boy held on to it," he told Sky Sports after the final whistle. "I saw him (Hazard) kick him in the ribs, and you can't do that." In another twist, a Twitter account allegedly owned by the ballboy (@CHARLIEMORGAN), suggests he had planned on doing his best to slow Chelsea down, with a tweet sent three hours before the game reading: "The king of all ball boys is back making his final appearance #needed #for #timewasting". Subsequent tweets suggest that he had not been scheduled to work at the game but was drafted in last-minute because someone else couldn't make it in because of wintry weather conditions in Swansea. The Twitter account now has more than 52,000 followers and the number is rising fast.
