Your Digital Guide To The New York Comic Con

Every year the smelly, bearded men who live in their parents’ basements, the tween hipsters with perfectly coiffed pompadours, and every comic book-loving stereotype in between gather to catch sneak previews of comics, movies, TV, pop culture, and gadgets and gizmos at Comic-Con. This year’s four-day event begins tomorrow, and is expected to draw more than 111,000 attendees. The anticipation and excitement for the New York Comic-Con is already in full swing! • @gailsimone –Gail Simone, who is an American writer of comic books. Best known for penning DC's Birds of Prey, her other notable works include Secret Six, Welcome to Tranquility, The All-New Atom, and Deadpool. In 2007, she took over Wonder Woman

• @kellysue – Kelly Sue DeConnick, a writer of Western comics and adaptation editor of manga. She is also the writer for the new Captail Marvel

• @danslott – Dan Slott is a comic book writer best known for The Amazing Spider-Man, Arkham Asylum: Living Hell and She-Hulk

• @ssnyder1835 – Scott Snyder, a multiple award-winning and bestselling American writer known for his 2006 short story collection Voodoo Heart, and his work in comic books, including American Vampire, Detective Comics, Batman, Batman: Gates of Gotham and Swamp Thing

• @brubaker – Ed Brubaker, an Eisner Award-winning comic book writer and cartoonist. Brubaker's first early comics work was primarily in the crime fiction genre with works such as Lowlife, The Fall, Sandman Presents: Dead Boy Detectives and Scene of the Crime. He later became known for writing superhero comics such as Batman, Daredevil, Captain America, Catwoman, Uncanny X-Men, and The Authority
