Harper's Bazaar had Misty Copeland recreate beautiful paintings of ballet dancers by Dégas.

K, I wish I had 1/1000 of that grace and ability to dance without looking a fool.
First of all, the clothes they used for this shoot are GORGEOUS.
Misty is the first African-American woman to be the principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, and she's got a KILLER smile.
Dégas was a French Impressionist painter in the late 19th century, most famous for his paintings and sculptures of ballerinas behind the scenes in Paris.
She focused on recreating the paintings precisely.
It took a lot of tries and a lot of swoon-worthy moves.
Misty had to nail every movement carefully, from the littlest motion of her finger...
...To the most perfect arch of her back.
The pictures look somehow super modern and also just like these paintings from the late 19th century.
