What The Critics Said About 'A Million Ways To Die In The West'

With nearly 160 western comedies made in its movie history (Wikipedia has a full list), Universal Pictures and Media Rights Capital (the people that brought us 'Ted', 'Elysium' and the Netflix political drama 'House of Cards') thought its the right time to crack this with this $40m film.

Set in Arizona in 1882, 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' stars Seth MacFarlane (also directs and co-wrote the film), who plays Albert, a sheep farmer, struggling in the gun slinging world, until he falls in love with Anna, played by Charlize Theron. That is until Clinch, played by Liam Nelson, enters and wants revenge.

Reviews for this film have not been favourable though, as of May 30th (the day of its release), it scores a 45 on Metacritic and a 32% score on Rotten Tomatoes, plus the film would fail the Bechdel Test as the named female characters talked about Albert (Oops!).
