A popular HBO series lost out to a celebrity panel show on Wednesday, but this is more 'Red Wedding' in 140 characters.

On Wednesday night, The National Television Awards took place at The O2 in London, all of the categories are voted for by the public.

If 'Game of Thrones', 'Geordie Shore' or 'The Walking Dead' won that category, it would be MTV, Fox or Sky Atlantic's first ever win at the National Television Awards (and a first for a pay-TV station).

but they lost to Celebrity Juice, a popular celebrity-based panel show fronted by Keith Lemon, shown on ITV2 (a free-to-air entertainment channel). Safe to say, fans of Game of Thrones are feeling like a "red wedding".
