Rihanna's new album 'Unapologetic' is set to dominate sales around the world, petty her cancelled promotional appearence for her album upsetted a DJ for BBC Radio 1.
Radio 1 breakfast show presenter Nick Grimshaw was to make the album "Record of the Week", however, on November 19th, he was informed by producers that she was unwell to interview that her scheduled interview was cancelled in the last minute.
Cue on-air tantrum in 3... 2... 1...
I'm going to have a tantrum because it's my favourite pop star. We're not even mentioning her. We're not gonna promote it now,
He later added to his listeners...
We were kind of forced into having Rihanna as our Record Of The Week because we were going to do a big interview with her, but once it was cancelled we changed it. She ruined my week. Nice one Rihanna.
Oh dear, looks like he won't be playing her tracks until Rihanna reschedules her radio interview.
This wasn't the only act he refused to play tracks from artist, earlier in November, Nick refuse to play Robbie Williams' new material after he felt the singer was "too old" for the radio station's target audience...
Despite this, this song, "Candy", went straight to number one in the UK singles chart while 'Take The Crown' also got a number one album in the UK, pretty sure the same goes for Rihanna for her album.
