Don’t over clean - Cleaning a new piercing too often will constantly be damp allowing bacteria to breed in. Allow your skin to dry naturally and clean the skin frequently as recommended by your piercer.

Avoid swimming pools - Don’t submerge your piercings in dirty water like pools, Hot-tubs, etc. If you still cannot avoid getting into the water, cover your piercing, for sure, with a breathable, non-water permeable wound sealant.
