PETA's protests are sooooo much better when they involve naked women.  All joking aside, they have a point in going after Lowe's, but they should also go after glue trap companies, as someone mentioned. I don't have a problem with PETA, but they're just a tad hypocritical (or perhaps just have their priorities mixed up).

I get that glue traps are inhumane, but shouldn't PETA be protesting the companies that make them? It's like yelling at a movie theater for showing an explicit movie. Don't get made at the seller of the product; be angry with the creators.

These are the same people that think it's unethical to keep dogs, cats and turtles as pets. o_O Sticky traps suck but Lassa fever,bubonic plague, Hanta-virus, and rabies is worse.

good thing they targeted the manufacturer of glue traps and not the retailer/distributor like lowes or anything.. oh wait effort = pointless! good job PETA [People Eating Tasty Animals]

I trap mice with glue guns. It's more fun, and you can make the cutest crafts. But, they stink after about a week or so.

I am definitely interested in helping animals, but PETA generally pisses me off. I do agree with their sentiment here, though I doubt it'll change anyone's mind.  Glue traps are absolutely horrible, terribly inhumane torture devices. They die an agonizing long slow death, often chewing off their own limbs in a desperate attempt to escape.  It'd be awesome if everyone would just humanely release them… but if you really feel a need to kill them, people, at least do it in a way that's quick and more humane.

PETA notwithstanding, we've always had a policy of “catch and release in the park” for our mousy visitors. Glue traps are truly inhuman(e).

You know, I never really thought about how a terrible a glue death would be. Thank you PETA.

At my last place I had a mouse problem. I got the non lethal “maze” sort of trap and that went over like a fart in church..didn't work AT ALL. Then thinking it was cruel to use the traditional trap I bought a glue trap. OMFG…found the mouse in the middle of the night and it had halfway ripped its fucking arm off. After killing it instantly with a cinder block to put it out of it's misery, and virtually fighting back tears while feeling like a monster. I asked myself “what the fuck am I doing?”. So, long story short, i now use the traditional trap on the extremely rare occasion that i have a mouse. In one instance I was actually able to catch and release a live one. Straight up you can't have mouse shit on your counter top or you're liable to get some nasty sickness, but you CANNOT USE GLUE TRAPS. period

Funny…I thought that this was my local Lowe's, but now I realize that they are all frighteningly similar.
