sometimesalwaysmostofthetime 2 months ago10 is wrong. He doesn’t use his twin. The prestige of the whole thing is that they are both Alfred. Neither one is pretending; they are just taking turns being the same guy.

☁Spam Of God☁ 2 months agoYou’ve got to be kidding me. I know not everybody is a horror fanatic, and I could see getting turned off by gore or whatever but even so, how could you watch that amazingly original concept that was genuinely funny and intense, suspenseful and frightening at the same time and think “hurr durr this sucks”. Do you even like watching movies?

I’ve read that Mary Harron (the screenwriter/director) left the ending intentionally vague, so it could go either way. I haven’t seen the it in years, but I remember thinking he’d imagined most (if not all) of the killings.

donnaw8 2 months agoI always took away from both the novel and movie that you never know whether it is real or the insane ramblings of someone who is severely delusional. Not only does he reintroduce characters that he already has as different people, he starts having the wacked out hallucinations, he confesses but the lawyer tells him “Oh I just had dinner with XYZ a few days ago”, etc. I also have been looking for anything where Brett Easton Ellis says it is explicitly NOT hallucination but I can not find any. On the contrary, I have found where he leaves it ambiguous to allow the reader to decide.

Maricela Gonzalez 2 months agoI feel like the movie is definitely ambiguous aka I choose to believe it was real whereas the book could legitimately be hallucinations.

krisztinai 2 months agoI haven’t seen #13 in a while. I remember is the chainsawing and the Huey Lewis music, but someone please explain how they were hallucinations and not reality.
