Paul Hollywood: "I think overall I think the idea is very good. I like the pipette, it is very novel. Exposure of sponge though I disagree with, because it will dry out."

Paul: "So crisp, that is. Lovely flavour. Beautifully cooked."

Paul: "Not that keen on the flavours. It could be the dough – that saffron... But very, very well decorated." Mary Berry disagreed and said that she liked the flavours.

Mary: "I clearly see the layers, and I like the proportion of sponge to the ice cream."

Paul: "Well designed, well thought through, and well done."

Mary: "We really have got far too thick a pastry, but the idea is lovely. It is the pastry that lets you down."

Mary: "What can I see? It is a monumental effort... It's what I call a showstopper."

Paul: "It's quite washy with the flavour. It needs an identity."

Mary: "You managed to get them all an even length. Six inches."

Paul: "It is different. I like different. You have nailed it on all counts."

Paul: "I was worried that they were overproved, but they've got a nice consistency." Mary personally loved them, but Paul was not so keen.

Mary: "I think they really look really sensational... You've got a good glaze on there. ... Well done."

Mary: "What perfection. A sheer joy to look at."

Paul: "Well thought out, and in fact well baked."

Paul: "As a full loaf it is there, but as a centrepiece it ain't... The flavour is lovely."

Mary: "It looks so pretty. It's a lovely, summer fruit flavour."

Paul: "They've all turned out looking quite good. Nice layers in there. I think the flavours are fantastic. I think it is quite dry inside."

Mary: "I like the taste of that. It's rich. You wouldn't want a big slice of it."

Paul: "The whole torte itself is very well made and very well executed."

Mary: "I think the whole presentation is simply beautiful."

Paul: "Baked well, great filling." However, h said that the ripple éclairs were "a bit sickly".

Paul: "You are good at your flavours. I think you let it down with the proving and the frying on this one." Mary said she liked the display, and Paul agreed.

Paul found the raspberry nonnette refreshing but said the chocolate did not go down to the bottom. He said, "The appearance of both of them is low for your standard."

Mary: "In my book that is absolutely scrumptious."

Mary: "Oh it is melt in the mouth... Lovely flavour. Very crisp."

Mary: "We can see precision is part of you. It looks very neat. And I love the pesto."

Mary: "That's all right for me." Richard admitted the presentation could have been better.

Paul: "Impressive, quite stable bit mix, bit burnt... Pastry is excellent, just overbaked."

Mary: "You've been consistent... They're all a little bit overcooked."

Paul: "The cake looks a bit sad. A lot sad. It looks a bit of a mess. I just think you could have presented the cake a little bit nicer with the icing."

Paul: "I think they have got a decent shine on them. I just think the toppings let them down a bit."

Paul: "That's cracking, that. The blend of the cream... You've got a nice zing from the rhubarb." Mary agreed and added: "I think you've cracked that."

Paul: "It is delicious. Chocolate works well, and the nuts are coming through there are beautiful. That is extremely good."
