What Is Your Take On The Third Season Of "House Of Cards"?

We must have all watched the episodes by now, so let's get this done. Warning: There are MASSIVE SPOILERS in this post, obviously.

It started with the twist that Doug Stamper, presumed dead, was actually not dead but A-L-I-V-E.

Doug broke his arm, but decided to tape his arm to a spoon so he could meet Frank, now better known as President Underwood.

And after Rachel was "missing" for most of the series, Doug tracked her down and killed her.

This season saw the launch of the America Works programme, Frank's plan to create full employment.

In Chapter 29, we saw Pussy Riot dissing President Petrov when they were invited to a state visit dinner.

Many people have pointed out that Petrov and Putin look and act kind of similar to each other.

However, in an interview with BuzzFeed Entertainment, Beau Willimon said: "None of these characters on House of Cards are meant to be based on anyone in real life."

This season Frank said he wasn't going to run to be president again, only for it to turn out he was.

Then there was a surprise cameo by Gavin's guinea pig.

Remember when Frank and Paul Sparks held hands and then Paul put Frank's hand on his chest?

Then at the end of the season there was the shock twist that Claire was actually leaving Frank.

The start of the season showed Frank peeing on his father's grave (as you do).

However, as the season went on we learned that he has got a sensitive side (such as his reaction to the drone strike) and a vulnerable side (particularly when everything started to fall apart with Claire). He didn't get everything right, either.
