Airplanes are pretty awful to begin with, here are some guidelines to make it less uncomfortable - and especially less awkward.

No shoes, no shirt: No airplane.

Pack the shorts. Wear the pants. We don't need any leg-on-leg action. You're already exceeding the limit in our comfort zone, don't push it.

Do not bring food onto an airplane.

Snacks (almonds, peanuts, chips, candy etc.) are okay. Anything that has to be heated or refrigerated is not okay.

We have all been there - we are watching a movie and then out of no where there is a sex scene or drug use or anything not Disney approved. You do the parameter check to make sure no one is creeping, but the person behind you totally is. And now you have just shared a moment... Keep your eyes on your own screen.

Be efficient in all lines - security, check-in, boarding etc.
