It’s part of her persona. During one of her concerts, she sneezed then said in a very solemn tone “I’m not human, I don’t sneeze”. She’s made it clear that celebrity is a lie, and she’s living that lie to the fullest. There’s a degree of irony and a commitment to that irony that I used to like about her, before she decided to preach about issues.

Blackface does not bear the same connotations, here in France — we don’t even have a word for it. Stop being so bloody ethnocentric and judgmental… Many American behaviours come accross as racist to French people too, (eg racial statistics and constant mentions of people’s ethnicities), when clearly they are not intended to be so. I’m mixed-race and those pictures don’t offend me, except for their lack of imagination and poor sense of artistry.
