The nave of York Minster has been covered in 16,000 square feet of real grass. The company responsible for this herculean task, is England's Wow!Grass!. In combination with the Queen's Jubilee, this stunt is for the York Minster Rose Dinner. The dinner is to raise money for the York Minster Fund, which helps maintain the 600 year-old cathedral.
All of their grass is grown in felt made from old recycled textiles- which means it leaves no trace after a quick sweeping. Anyone else dreaming up prank scenarios? Anyway, this is pretty epic.
