Sassy Pants is an Independent film about a teenage girl named Bethany who yearned to escape her sheltered life and overprotective mother, June.
Oh, yeah. Anna Gunn plays her mom.
Her parents divorced because her father, Dale, is gay.
Her brother, Shayne, was lost in identity and longed for social acceptance.
Grandma Pruitt is the sardonic mother of June who called out June’s obsessive, controlling b.s.
Bethany was home-schooled with Shayne, and she graduated Valedictorian of her class.
June insisted Bethany earn an online bachelor’s degree, but fashion was her calling.
June was strongly opposed to the idea.
In fact, she pretty much hated everything related to the outside world.
Not to mention, her conservative style and poor color choices did not do her nor anyone else justice.

Anyway, Bethany needed change. So she packed up her belongings and moved in with Dale and his boyfriend, Chip.
Guess who plays Chip?
Chip is a rambunctious ball of energy and sass.
But was H.J.O. trying too hard to portray a gay character?
Bethany needed a job, so Dale hired her as an outdoor advertisement to promote his automotive business.
So she applied at a hip store in the mall called Jail Bait.
The salesgirls were pretty bitchy...
But that didn't stop Bethany from pursuing her dreams. So she made some promises and landed the job immediately.
Well, that dream died because her coworker blackmailed her, and she got fired.
Persevering, she jumped back on the saddle and got another job at a dress shop!
Well, that dream died too because her coworker was jealous of her designing skills, and she got fired.
Bethany just wanted to save up for fashion school!!!
She eventually moved back home because June insisted Grandma Pruitt was dying.
In the end, Bethany received the finances, as well as June’s blessings to attend the Fashion Art Technology Institute in San Francisco.
Dale and Chip moved to Baja and opened a B&B.
June signed up for classes to obtain an online bachelor’s degree.
Shayne found his inner circle.
Grandma Pruitt remained a badass.
And Bethany lost her virginity at her mother’s house in her twin-sized bed, whilst her stuffed animals watched.
