A new study shows that fans of romantic comedies have unrealistic expectations of relationships and often have trouble communicating with their partners. John Cusack, Meg Ryan, Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock: you're all on notice.

I would like to know what kinds of unrealistic expectations David Lynch fans might have.

The worst study conducted ever: As part of the project, 100 student volunteers were asked to watch the 2001 romantic comedy Serendipity, while a further 100 watched a David Lynch drama. Students watching the romantic film were later found to be more likely to believe in fate and destiny.
