My theory is that the increased porn users are all the socialists who want to control everyone's lives in their communities (like all good socialists do) but don't have the local political power to get away with it, so they have to find a way to release all that frustration. Since the high-minded rarely attract liberty-loving partners that saturate the dating pool in Red States, it makes it hard to find fellow elites to sleep around with, so they naturally turn to porn.
