Are you about to read the final book in a series you love? You may be at very high risk. Know the symptoms. And if you need treatment, enter to win an e-reader at the end of the post.

Prior to reading the final book in a series you love, you might experience:

    1) Problems with impulse control

    2) Anticipatory anxiety

    3) Uncontrollable desire to engage in idiosyncratic pre-reading rituals

While reading, you may experience one or more of the following:

    1) Low tolerance for suspense

    2) Author blaming

    3) Reduced emotional stability

    4) Compulsive shipping

    5) Mood swings

    6) Difficulty inhibiting the urge to keep reading, even though you realize the end is coming

And once you've read that final page, it is quite possible you will experience:

    1) Emotional exhaustion

    2) A pervasive sense of loss

    3) Disorientation

    4) Difficulty letting go

To enter, just leave a comment telling us your favorite series. Contest ends 9/30/14 at 12am EST.
