"Once Upon A Time": Lost Girl Recap

Peter Pan has a game for Emma, Mr. Gold is seeing Belle, and we find out who the 'Lost Girl' is.

We begin with Rumple cutting off his shadow and asking it to hide his dagger. Shadows be crazy.

Back with the We-Can’t-Even-Agree-On-How-To-Walk-Up-A-Hill Club, Hook is leading the way, even when Regina offers to poof everyone to safety. He saves David from foreshadowing poison.

David thanks Hook by instantly not listening to him even though Hook has been doing nothing but helping.

Once continues its run of characters asking how they are portrayed in stories. Even if Hook doesn’t know what a perm is, he knows it’s bad.

We get our first glimpse of the scope of Neverland and it does not disappoint.

But no luck in finding Pan’s Lair! Hook convinces the gang that they should set up camp for the night.

FLASHBACKS ARE BACK! When Emma is feeling down, Snow tells her that it is never too late. And we’re back to the moment Charming kissed Snow and woke her up. That means Regina, who really just wanted to have a nice time with her apples, is fuming!

Snow tries to rally her citizens, but they’re all too afraid of Regina’s wrath.

Regina offers Snow a deal: relinquish her throne or see one of her subjects die every day she doesn’t. Oh, and also Snow will have to live in exile.

Back at Neverland Camp, Emma wakes up to the sound of all the lost boys crying. She searches the area surrounding the camp and finds Pan.

Pan tells Emma that he 1. likes her fire 2. Will give her a map 3. That said map will show her to Henry but… 4. She’ll only be able to read the map when she stops denying who she is.

The We’re-Spectators-In-A-Two-Player-Game Gang argue about what to do with the map. Regina, who hasn’t been given much to do, suggests she use her magic.

Back in flashback land: Snow wants to comply with Regina’s demands. She doesn't know if she has what it takes to defeat Regina. Her doubt leads Charming to go to Rumple, asking for a way to give Snow some confidence.

And now dearies, the Rumple Neverland Plot. A mysterious figure steals Rumple’s doll and that figure is… BELLE!

After pleading with Rumple to help Snow find her mojo, Charming returns to Snow promising a magical weapon to help her defeat Regina.

In Neverland: Emma says a lot of facts about her life and situation (she even uses the “S” word), but nothing works. So, MAGIC TIME! Regina uses a tracking spell on the map.

On the other side of Neverland, Belle reminds Rumple that the past is in the past. He’s not his father. He needs to let go of the doll that reminds him of the father who abandoned him. Down the cliff it goes.

Fairytale Land: Charming takes Belle to Excalibur. When she pulls the famed sword from the stone, Charming declares that she is the kingdom’s true leader. Boy, does she believe it.

Back in Neverland, our crew thinks they’ve found Henry in Pan's camp. However, the boy in Henry’s coat and scarf is actually Pan!

Pan’s not so happy that Emma broke his rules and he tells his lost boys to attack.

(Sidenote: How perfect is it that Regina stretches her fingers, inside of getting a weapon ready, when she prepares to fight)

In the battle David gets cut, Captain Hook mentions Rufio (R.I.P.), and Emma looks into the eyes of a lost boy and sees his soul (well, at least his sadness). Then, Pan calls off the lost boys, reminding Emma to admit who she is.

Back in the Fairytale Land flashback: Snow tells Regina that she can’t run off and leave her people under Regina’s control. Regina promptly starts choking Grumpy.

But Snow has the sword (and the confidence) now, so she cuts Regina. This means war!

In the night's most heartbreaking and beautiful scene, Emma tells Snow that the island keeps reminding her that she was an orphan. She was once scared and alone, crying herself to sleep, desperately wanting her parents. Finally, the map appears.

In Flashback Land Snow goes to meet Rumple. She wants to pay Charming’s debt for the sword. But, Rumple legit has no idea about Excalibur.

Snow confronts Charming for lying about the sword. He just tells her that she needed to see she could face Regina and be a strong leader. He knew she could all along.

The Neverland Crew decides to work together to find Pan’s fort. It’s time he played by their rules.

On the other side of Neverland: Rumple finds the doll he threw off the cliff. Then he burns it. Then it appears again. Well, it seems like we’re still playing by Pan’s rules.

Speaking of Pan, he confronts Emma telling her that she hasn’t fully forgiven her parents for abandoning her. That’s good, he says, because Henry hasn’t fully forgiven her either. And he warns her that by the time he's done with her she will be an orphan.
