Marissa Cooper was the Princess of Orange County. Newport Beach was her kingdom and everyone else were merely her peasants. In 2006, Princess Cooper met her untimely death, and 9 years later, I am still not over it.

Marissa Cooper. She was rich (and poor), beautiful, had everything she ever wanted (and then everything taken away) and ran Newport Beach, California. Sure, she wasn't everyone's favorite character, but I still get upset every time I watch this fictional death unfold.

She never cared what anyone thought about her.

For someone who had the life she did, she needed to have this quality about her. Between the drinking, family drama, stalkers, overdoses, shootings and everything in-between, she never worried about what the other "Newpsies" were thinking.

She always followed her heart.
