The Cuddlebot cometh!
Computer/mad scientists up in the University of British Columbia "a furry animal-like machine to intelligently recognize emotional touch gestures." Translation: Cuddlebot can sense your fear, but can also give you a cuddle when you most need it.
The little guy is still in the prototype stage, but with enough wishes upon a star, one day you too can have you own Cuddlebot!
