A senior BCCI official was quoted as saying, "In a big tournament like the World Cup, the cricketers should stay away from distractions."

In an interview with NDTV, actress and producer Anushka Sharma was asked about the ban and the reactions to her relationship with team vice-captain Virat Kohli.
