    PM Modi has had to deal with some scathing headlines on his current tour of the U.K.

    British newspapers have referred to him as "former persona non grata" and "ex-pariah", highlighting the time after the 2002 Gujarat riots when Britain had distanced itself from him.

    He has also had to deal with protests against his visit.
