5 Things We Can Learn From Ted Mosby

How I Met Your Mother is coming to an end and Ted is finally going to meet the love of his life. In Ted's quest to find true love, Ted has been through a lot, and through his experiences, he has taught us a lot. Here are 5 things we can learn from Ted Mosby:

5. Try Out New Things

Life is too complicated to be understood. You never know what is the best for you, and what’s coming your way. It’s only by trying out new things we can, have interesting experiences, create exciting memories, and truly discover ourselves. Ted has always been ready to try new things, whether it’s playing laser tag, getting into a fight, starting a company or expressing his love on the first date.

4. Be a Good Friend

A true friend not only stands by your side in rough times, but also does everything to make your situation better. Ted has always looked after his friends like they are family. When Marshall quit his job in a fit of anger, Ted sold his car and supported Marshall, financially. When Robin was upset on finding out that she could not conceive a baby, Ted spent eight hours decorating her place to cheer her up. If everyone can be a friend like Ted, I'm sure we'll all feel luckier.

3. Forgive and Forget

We all hold grudges for small things and find it difficult to forgive people, be it our close ones. Ted, being a great friend, forgave Barney when he broke the Bro code by sleeping with Robin and forgave Lily after knowing that she sabotaged his previous relationships. In return, Ted has got, a Bro who could do anything for him and a life long friend who is ready to help and offer advice, anytime, for anything.

2. Do The Right Thing

Life often gives us hardships, but it takes a hell lot of courage to look beyond our differences and problems and do the right thing. When Tony, broke up with Stella, Ted helped Stella by convincing Tony to get back together. Although, Stella can never make up for leaving Ted at the altar, she did help him to get the job of a professor at the university, which Ted described as his best job ever.

1. Never Give Up

Whether it is career or his love life, Ted has never given up or lost hope, and it eventually paid off. Ted became the youngest architect to design a skyscraper in the Manhattan skyline, and found the perfect soul mate.
