The Gritty, Violent Power Rangers Fan Film That Every 90s Kid Needs To See

    So morphenomenal and so NSFW.

Tommy, Kimberly, Jason, Billy, Zack, and Trini - names that strike a nostalgic chord in the hearts of every kid who grew up in the 90s. Now, two decades after the first episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aired, reknowned music video director Joseph Kahn has brought us "POWER/RANGERS," a darker look into the war torn future of our favorite teenaged superheroes.

The film, which stars James Van Der Beek as former Red Ranger Rocky DeSantos and Katee Sackhoff as former Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart, centers on a battle-ravaged Earth that has been taken over by the Machine Empire. Having betrayed Zordon and joined the Machines, Rocky captures and interrogates Kimberly over the whereabouts of fellow Ranger Tommy Oliver. Through a series of bloody flashbacks, we learn of the tragic events that have plagued the Power Rangers as they've fought to save the planet.

In an interview with Hitfix, Kahn described his intentions behind the darker, more violent take on the Power Rangers universe. "If I had to make a 'Power Rangers' movie, this is it," Kahn told Hitfix. "Make it even darker and grittier than you could possibly imagine, hence the brains, the blood and the violence and the sex."

Apart from the blood, violence, and sex, there's a mind-blowing final twist that will thrill every diehard Power Ranger fan. However, this moment will likely satisfy your inner Ranger the most.
