Maybe the fact that so many people are pointing out the tastelessness of the gay slur actually MEANS SOMETHING. Like that this shit isn’t acceptable anymore. The “cool it, faggots, it was only a joke” thing is old and tired. People don’t like it, so cut it the fuck out.
I thought it was common knowledge that “faggot” wasn’t considered a slur in some places of the internet? For example, “Do it faggot”? I mean, even in 4chan people who call each other (or themselves) “faggots” are against homophobic slurs/users. If the above explanation is not enough for you, please visit this comic.
