Foozlesprite a year agoI’m gonna have to wait to take my mom to see it, since I don’t want squeeing tweens ruining it for us. It’s kind of sad that it’s compared to Twilight so much, because it’s SO MUCH BETTER.

cmonster11 a year agoI wish motivation to read books didn’t come from the fact that a physically attractive lead male will be acting out one (or several) of the characters. Twilight, anyone? Don’t get me wrong, I loved The Hunger Games. But I hate the fact that my upcoming movie experience will have to be ruined by hordes of less-than-intelligent teen girls.

sage a year agoHere is an actual conversation that took place between Emma (my 13 year old niece) and my grandmother, at dinner on Thursday. Emma: Grandma, I am going to see the Hunger Games.
Grandma: Why, didn’t your father buy you a tv game for Christmas?
Emma: No grandma, The Hunger Games.
Grandma: I do not want to hear anything about your games. You have too many games. When I was your age, I had to work on the farm and feed the cows when I got home from school. Yup, this is how a 82 year old grandmother reacts to The Hunger Games. -
