5. Conversations tend to be driven not by those with the wisest thoughts, but with the loudest voices.
6. You revert to buddy-system tactics whenever you have to navigate through a crowd.
7. Any potential love interests must be evaluated by the panel of your peers.
8. All texts are group texts.
9. You are used to telling the same story multiple times because it's impossible to get everyone's attention at once.
10. You spend more money on them during the holidays than you do on your blood relatives.
11. And you stress about who you'll ask to be bridesmaids/godparents/power of attorney...
12. ...even though you're currently single/kid-free/in perfect health.
13. You've got a dozen different people to talk to when you're down.
14. And just as many to celebrate your victories with.
15. You don't know how to respond when someone asks who your best friend is...
16. So you just take a deep breath and say, "Welp, it's a bit of a long story..."
But it is a damned good one.
