    London's public restrooms are getting a new lease on life as developers and history lovers look to take advantage of subterranean square footage in the crowded city.

    Forget not crapping where you eat

    Most large cities present a rather interesting conundrum when you're out and about and need to use a restroom. Victorian (and later) era London was dotted with public restrooms - mostly underground. Those bathrooms have since (mostly) been closed and many have fallen into disrepair.

    However, some are seeing a new lease on life as community members are stepping up and renovating them.

    Londonist's latest piece on these toilets-turned-posh spots is pretty great.
