Long History
Founded during Emperor Qianlong’s reign, Ting Li Guan was where Empress Dowager Cixi and her favored officials enjoyed music and entertainment. The name "Ting Li Guan" suggests the music played here was as beautiful as the singing of orioles. The plaque’s calligraphy is the handwriting of Cixi.
Scenic Location
The restaurant is situated at the southern foot of Longevity Hill behind the Long Corridor facing the crystal blue waters of Kunming Lake with the scenic Longevity Hill in the background.
