Apple Car: Its A Lifestyle

Apple Car would be more than just a competitor to Google, It would be the beginning of living an Apple branded life.

Apple is rumored to be making a self-driving car. This is either just a rumor or the beginning of a huge separation in cultural lifestyle.

Apple's strategy is to get you to use their app ecosystem for everything. I think this also applies to their "Car" they may be working on.

I am sure Apple wants to set a lifestyle with a self driving car. You will use their car because their car talks to their phones and their computers. Their goal with all their products is not to provide a new and innovative product or service (most of the time), but It's to get you using and relying on their apps and products because they work and work better. Apple products are sinkholes that suck you in with ease of use and functionality.

Google is smart if they brand all their cars with "Powered by Android", that will take market share away from Apple. As soon as you become dependent on a Google car you will need an Android Phone to get the most out of the experience! You will link it to your Google account, You will be able to cast your music to the car's speakers and more than likely this won't be possible with an Iphone right away.

I will never go back to windows...

If Apple can get in on the market and make their "car" a better experience. By letting the car integrate into their ecosystem, then you will get sucked into their universe. Your Iphone will work better with their car; You will be able to AirPlay through the car speakers; You will be able to get work done on the built in Imac (I Imagine). This will make you buy an iphone or an IPad to go along with your ICar experience.

Whoever gets to the market first will have the lion's share of the customers and will bring those customers into their ecosystem… As long as they don't jump the gun and screw it up.
