North Korea Successfully Land On The Sun, Apparently

Hung Il Gong left at 3am this morning, he arrived safely within FOUR HOURS and he'll be back in time for tea...apparently.

Landing on the moon back in 1969 was a pretty big deal. But those crafty North Koreans laugh in the face of such achievements.

According to the secretive nation's state news, a few hours ago they became the first country to successfully put a man on the sun. Seventeen-year-old Hung Il Gong, nephew to King Jong-Un blasted off at 3am this morning and reached our nearest star by 7am, just in time breakfast.

The North Korean Central News said, "We are very delighted to announce a successful mission to put a man on the sun. North Korea has beaten every other country in the world to the sun. Hung Il Gong is a hero and deserves a hero's welcome when he returns home later this evening".

They went on to call the feat the "greatest human achievement of our time" and to be fair, they're not wrong. Sending a teenager into space alone with probably no training, landing him on the moon before successfully bringing him home, all within 18 hours really puts NASA to shame.

Oh, and he also travelled under the cover of darkness so not to be affected by the harsh and extreme temperatures of THE SUN! Because we all know the sun powers down between the hours of 5pm and 9am, right?

This all sounds convincing enough. Well done, North Korea. The rest of the world applauds you.
