The Best Hockey Game Of The Year Is Happening Tonight

The Chicago Blackhawks and the Anaheim Ducks are 1-2 in the NHL and they square off tonight. Here's 5 reasons why you should tune in to the NHL network at 10:00 pm est.

    1. Patrick Kane's knack for scoring ridiculous goals.

The kid's got the quickest release in hockey and is flat out dangerous on the puck. His shootout attempts are unstoppable. With 16 goals and 21 assists, he's doing it all right now

    2. The Duck's top line is equally as skilled

Ryan Getzlaf, Bobby Ryan, and Corey Perry are just as entertaining a top three as Kane, Jonathan Toews (pronounced Taves), and Marian Hossa. These guys have a great ability to find each other on the ice and they can all score with ease.

    3. So this game is going to be all goals, right?

Wrong! meet Viktor Fasth, the best story in the NHL this year. The 30 year old rookie (yes you read that right) came to the ducks after years in the Swedish hockey league. when Jonas Hiller went out with an injury everyone thought the Ducks chances in the shortened season went with it. Everyone except Fasth, who went ahead and won 9 straight and is currently 11-1-1 with a 2.00 goals against average.

(plus its super awesome when he plays LA Kings goalie, Jonathan Quick, for obvious reasons)

    4. Okay so he's good. But what about the Blackhawks?

Meet Corey Crawford, the big guy in net for the Hawks. you don't earn a point in 24 straight games without a netminder making saves like the one above. Crawford has answered all of Chicago's goalie questions over the past few seasons and seems to be hitting his prime at 29. (His back-up, Ray Emery has been playing lights out too.)

    5. Still not convinced? Two Words : Teemu Selanne

The Finnish Flash is still schooling kids all over the ice. and when i say kids thats because a lot of these players could be Selanne's children. At 42 (which is like, 150 in sports years) Selanne still flys down the ice with style. I don't care who you root for, if you like Hockey, You love Teemu Selanne.
