After saying women on birth control are sluts, Rush continues to press the issue. Now he’s saying he wants sex tapes of Sandra Fluke if he is “going to pay for her contraceptives.”

Elwin Ransom a year ago1) The outrage against Rush is highly selective. He considers himself an entertainer, and routinely says outrageous and/or un-PC things in the service of being provocative (in both the good and bad senses of that word). By rights, anything he says should be judged against the standard of liberal political entertainers like Bill Maher, Janine Garafalo, or if you like, Keith Olbermann. Yes, Rush’s audience is orders of magnitude larger, and his influence on the conservative movement equally outsized. But that doesn’t make him John Boehner. So why is Nancy Pelosi acting like the whole of the congressional conservative opposition to the mandate just accused an arbitrary 20-something woman of sexual promiscuity? 2) The irony is that a federal mandate for contraception coverage renders women’s personal sexual choices a matter for public debate. The folks plucking sex out of the private sphere in this situation are the mandate supporters, not its opponents.

Brian H. a year agoHe eats this stuff up, he loves it. I’m a republican but never listen to Rush. I just never cared for his rants. Once in a great while he has a decent point but to sift through all the drivel isn’t worth it. I also can’t get by the fact that he had a huge oxycontin problem so much so that he lost his hearing abd has some serious charges against him. He got over 2,000 pills in six months. So for me it’s a little hard to take him seriously as a moral authority so I refer to him as The Addict or if I was talking to him THE ADDICT!!!

Dennis Fanning a year agoRemember in Star Trek IV when that space whale was killing the Earth with sound? Or that Star Trek: The Next Generation where a belligerent space whale tried to attack the good people of the Enterprise? Or that Doctor Who where that space whale was eating people after making them endure a creepy nursery rhyme? What I’m saying is that Rush is a space whale. He wails, takes up space, and has a massive blowhole.
