Slipknot Guitarist Mick Thomson Stabbed In The Head By His Brother

    Slipknot guitarist Mick Thomson has been taken to hospital after getting into a knife fight with his brother, according to local news reports.

    The 41-year-old sustained a stab wound to the back of the head in the early hours of Wednesday, KCCI8 News reported.

    Police told KCCI8 News that Thomson and his brother Andrew, 35, were involved in an altercation inside the musician’s home in Clive, Iowa, that spilled out into the front yard.

    Police said both men appeared intoxicated when officers attended the scene at Northwest 129th Street.

    The brothers were taken to a local hospital in separate ambulances, having suffered serious, but non life-threatening, injuries, the Des Moines Register reported.

    Police said an investigation into the incident was ongoing and no charges had been filed.

    Slipknot’s lead singer, Corey Taylor, told fans on Twitter he was trying to find out more about the reports.

    KCCI8 News said Slipknot's manager had confirmed that one of the band's members had been injured in a fight, but the band have yet to comment on the reports.
