Sir Paul McCartney has told friends he intends to wed girlfriend Nancy Shevell. In the wake of his high-profile divorce battle with Heather Mills, Sir Paul asked the family of his first wife, Linda, for their blessing — which they gave him.

You know what? Good for him. <3 After his first wife's death, and an unsuccessful marriage, he deserves someone to love. She is a nice woman and I hope they are together for the longest time. Great catch finding another gal, Paul. :)

He was married to the same person for 30 years & Paul would still be with Linda to this day had she not passed away! While I salute his commitment to monogamy, I'm not sure what he has to gain by being legally married again at this point in his life.
