A representative called me and had me put the pieces in a plastic baggy and mail it to them so their Quality Control Department could lab test it. I put the noodle in a baggy just like I was instructed, put it in the package envelope and forgot to mail it. About a week later I remembered I was supposed to mail it out. I opened it up just to make sure I had everything before I sealed it and to my utter disgust this is what I found.
The noodle with the tiny black piece on it turned completely black while a stray noodle without any black piece on it stayed yellow.
I finally put it in the mailbox and got a letter about a month later saying that it was just burnt cheese product from a small batch that was accidentally set to high during manufacturing and was given about $10 worth of coupons for Oscar Meyer food.
Yeah, okay...that's why this noodle turned all black unlike the other one and that's why I kept finding these pieces in different boxes bought at different stores at different times.
Consider this a fair warning to all you Kraft Mac-N-Cheese lovers.
