@jameslass, agreed I was on vacation I just got back so I didn't call in on the 18th so I want to know who in my state still needs to be convinced (North Carolina).

We still need to watch the legislature closely in the future. The Entertainment industry paid people in the congress a lot of money to get laws such as these passed. The normal way to deal with copyright infringement is via the courts, but the entertainment industry knows it would be cheaper for them if they forced the government to regulate the net. This would mean that you and I and every taxpayer would be paying the legal fees that the entertainment industry should be paying. We need to be vigilant and keep the Net free from government regulation.

I know they're just trying to illustrate the shift in terms of numbers, but wouldn't it help us to continue the effort if we could actually read the names under each picture?

I'd love to know how many of those actually know how to use the internet!

We need to keep in mind, this is only the first battle of what will likely be a long war. While I'm happy for this initial victory, I hope it doesn't cause complacency in the internet population.

That still leaves a whole lot of “undecideds.” Hopefully those people break along the same lines as the “after group”
