This article just perpetuates the stereotype that all Asians look the same. The author insinuates that all of the South Korean contestants look the same because of plastic surgery, but posts no evidence that any contestant actually went under the knife. Yes, statistically-speaking, South Korea has the highest rate of plastic surgeries per capita. The author throws outastatistic, doesn’t showavalid causal-link to the South Korean women in this article, and then suggests the women all “look the same.” Yes, South Korea is more racially homogenous than the United States. But pointing outagroup of persons sharing the same race or ethnicity, and claiming they “look the same” is extremely culturally insensitive. Buzzfeed, this article’s overgeneralizations and racist stereotypes are offensive; you can do better than this.
