With seventeen days and only one debate left in the election, I think it’s time we take a look at where we are, and what we can look forward to before this thing is done. So, ‘Merica, where are we now? One Debate Left – Is It Going To Matter? Well, it all depends. The debate will be focusing completely on foreign policy, which means we’re going to be hearing a lot about China, Iran, Libya and, if we’re lucky, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq. But there’s not much we haven’t heard a dozen times already. Today a car bomb went off in Beruit, Lebanon, largely considered a vassal state to Syria. Lebanon’s security chief was killed in the blast. That, and the story of Malala Yousafzai will probably be brought up. There’s going to be one argument in the debate to keep an eye on – the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Surrogates have been fighting over whether or not President Obama’s leadership really had anything to do with Bin Laden being taken down. Romney’s only got one shot left to bring it up. But anyway, the question is whether it’s going to matter. The problem with polls asking likely voters what they believe are the most important electoral issues is that most people answer that foreign policy is low on their list. However, people also say they’re tired of seeing celebrity sex scandals, but magazine sales always go up when there is one.

One Debate Left – Is It Going To Matter?
